LOUISVILLE ATHLETICS INTERNSHIP - TICKET SALES
The Ticket Sales & Retention department plays a key role in generating revenue for the Athletic Department by proactively reaching out to prospective and current Season Ticket Members for ticketed sports. This position is responsible for fostering relationships with alumni, fans, donors, and other supporters of University of Louisville Athletics. The members of this department are expected not only to be exceptional salespeople but also to deliver outstanding customer service to all clients to ensure fan retention and to establish a positive experience with the brand.
- Learn to conduct outbound sales and renewal calls to potential and existing Season Ticket Members to generate new seat sales, upgrades, and achieve assigned revenue goals for sports included but not limited to, Football, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, and Baseball.
- Develop ability to use CRM (Salesforce) to maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and transactions. In addition, use the tool to manage a pipeline, follow up on leads and fan inquiries.
- Gain understanding of Ticketmaster and Archtics software.
- Attend gameday functions and other athletic events to build rapport with fans and assist with on-site engagement and service.
- Gain experience working closely with multiple departments (including Business Intelligence, Marketing, Facilities, and the Cardinal Athletic Fund) to execute a year-round sales and service plan that maximize revenue and retention.
