Job Summary | The University of Portland is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Athletics Event Staff team as a key support for athletic operations. The University of Portland is part of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division I West Coast Conference (WCC). Submit your application for this entry level, full time benefited position and gain hands on experience in athletic game management while being part of a vibrant campus community! The Athletics Event Services position is responsible for providing key support for University Athletics events and helps to maintain the overall operations of a variety of University Athletics facilities. Support for University Athletics events includes but is not limited to major event set-ups and tear-downs, moving furniture, cleaning, and preparation for event turnover. This position will support events such as NCAA athletic competitions, student orientation weekend, commencement, and other community special events held in the Athletics facilities. The work is physical and often requires heavy lifting. Daily tasks will be performed based on the needs of the Athletics Department, assigned work orders, and designated projects. Overtime may be required and/or assigned to support University events as needed. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities & Game Operations.
