Job Summary/Basic Function

The Esports Director reports directly to the Program Director and carries out duties as assigned to assist the Student Station Manager and the General Manager in all Esports operations. Specifically, the Esports Director is responsible for supervising all Sycamore Esports broadcasts.

NCAA Guidelines

All employees and staff of ISU are bound by all NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference and institutional rules and regulations pertaining to intercollegiate athletics and must conduct themselves in accordance therewith. Job Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Esports Director is responsible for all Esports operations of the station. Duties include:
  • Create and Maintain Esports Live Streams for Sycamore Esports
  • Create Graphics and Overlays for Streams
  • Recruit and Train Shoutcasters and Staff
  • Setup and Operate Streaming Equipment and Software
  • Research trends in esports, shoutcasting, and digital media
  • Create content and maintain social media presence for WZIS and Sycamore Esports
  • Collaborate with the Sports Director and Program Director to create and maintain a broadcast schedule
