General Job Description
This is a professional position responsible for planning, organizing, and directing annual giving, alumni relations, ticket holder benefits, and other external revenue initiatives for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current, former, and prospective donors and fans. Works under general supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Director of Athletics.
Essential Job Functions
1. Develops and implements campaigns aimed to increase annual fund giving, donations, memberships, Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), Alston awards, and additional revenues.
2. Oversees all premium seating options and benefits to ticket holders, including but not limited to road events, conference championships, and other special engagements.
3. Fosters positive, lasting relationships through consistent personal contact with donors that produces initial, repeat, and increased annual, major, and planned giving.
4. Builds positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues and strategically collaborates with University Advancement to achieve goals.
5. Establishes annual goals and objectives that fit into the department’s overall mission in coordination with the director.
6. Cultivates and fosters relationships with former student-athletes to encourage involvement in the department’s programs.
7. Maintains donor database using university and departmental software.
8. Plans and coordinates meeting and social events related to area of responsibility such as reunion weekends, Hall of Fame weekends, and donor hospitality areas.
9. Hires, trains, and supervises assigned student workers and game day workers.
10. Receives and supervises the receipt of payments and funds for departmentally sponsored activities and revenue initiatives.
Non-Essential Job Functions
1. Adheres to all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), conference and university rules and regulations.
2. Attends university, conference, NCAA, and other organizational meetings as assigned.
3. Participates on university committees and task forces as assigned.
4. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

1. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, university policies and procedures.
2. Knowledge of, or ability to learn, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the conference and the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA).
3. Knowledge of procedures and related aspects of fundraising, including annual giving, planned giving, campaign management, and strategic planning.
4. Organizational skills in managing projects simultaneously while maintaining a satisfactory work product.
5. Skill in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and ticketing management software.
6. Skill in public speaking and delivering presentations to individuals and groups.
7. Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
8. Ability to develop creative ways to solve problems.
9. Ability to meet or exceed established goals and objectives.
10. Ability to successfully develop, coordinate, and attend a variety of events related to area of responsibility.
11. Ability to set priorities and complete assignments on time.
12. Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
13. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
14. Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with colleagues, university faculty and staff, students, and external constituents.
15. Ability to train and supervise others.
16. Ability to learn office and university-specific software.
17. Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
Physical Demands
Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including ability to stand up and sit for more than an hour at a time, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, lift up to 30 pounds, talk and hear. Exposure to weather conditions may occur when working at athletic events.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree is required.
Required Experience and Training
Three years of related experience is required. Experience in fundraising, revenue generation, donor engagement, and athletic event ticket sales is required. Experience with intercollegiate athletics is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree is preferred.

Benefit and Retirement Eligibility
This position is eligible for participation in the Optional Retirement Program (ORP), subject to the position being full-time and at least 4 ½ months in length, or the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) retirement plan, subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
