Job Description
The JMA Dome is seeking Temporary Game Day Guest Service Representatives to work on an as needed basis for events in the 2024-2025 academic (June 2024 through May 2025) season. Our Guest Service Representatives play a critical role in creating a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests. In this role you will have the ability to promote excellence customer service throughout the Stadium.
Education and Experience
  • As a Guest Service Representative, you are a leader for the entire Event Staff. We expect you to work as a team with all other Supervisors and staff personnel. You are encouraged to help in other areas as needed and assist all staff members that need assistance.
  • Be a helpful, courteous leader of our staff and patrons.
  • Have complete knowledge of the Dome Playbook, and policies & procedures.
  • Monitor Event Staff members’ appearance, and performance.
  • Must be able to obtain a NYS Security Guard License.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Applicants must be flexible and able to work events that on average last between 5 and 7 hours.
  • Events take place on nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • You are expected to be available to work a majority of the high priority events such as: SU Football, SU Basketball, Monster Jam, and all Concert events.
Responsibilities
  • Attend all pre-event meetings with the Dome Management staff prior to events.
  • Assist in the event day preparation of the Guest Service office and materials.
  • Rotate shifts inside the Guest Service Office as needed, working with guests stadium related issues.
  • Be alert for radio calls, and respond to incidents in your designated area.
  • Resolve Guest concerns and accommodate special requests.
  • Continually monitor the Stadium, be prepared to assist with any and all Guest Service needs.
  • Be prepared to work with Event Staff on difficult issues that they cannot resolve.
  • Report all on-the-job injuries, no matter how small, immediately.
  • Complete Incident Reports as needed.
  • Assist with coordination and accuracy of the JMA Dome lost and found program.
  • Take part in post-game meeting with the Director of Security & Event Staff to review event.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed and as directed by management.
Physical Requirements
  • You must be able to stand and walk during an entire event in a stadium environment.
  • Sometimes Event Staff Team Members are required to set up/take down chairs (must be able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds) or push guests in a wheelchair.
Tools/Equipment
  • Portable Ticket Scanner if applicable.
  • Metal Detecting equipment as needed.
  • PPE will be provided and required to wear if needed.
  • The specifics will be based on job duties.
