Job Summary/Basic Function | Evaluate and properly care for illnesses and injuries sustained by Indiana State University intercollegiate athletes. Primary sports responsibility: Cross Country and Track and Field. Administer therapeutic modalities for treatment of injuries and plan, implement and modify rehabilitation programs to safely return athletes to participation. Serve as a receptor for professional level athletic training students. Develop, guide, and mentor students in the Doctorate of Athletic Training program. Assist in coordinating appropriate medical personnel coverage and travel for ISU sports at the discretion of the Director of the Center for Sports Medicine and Performance. Serve as a liaison for the medical care and well-being of the ISU student athletes and sports medicine staff. Maintain accurate medical records for student athletes including medical history, physical exam forms, daily injury reports and progress notes. Responsible for assisting with the operation and implementation of preseason physicals for all ISU athletes. Act as a member of the Center for Sports Medicine and Performance assisting in decision making and improvements within the department. |

Required Relevant Education & Experience | Education: Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) Experience: 6 months in Athletic Training |

Preferred Relevant Education and Experience | Education: Master’s Degree Experience: 2-3 Years |
Supervisory Responsibilities | Has authority or responsibility for the supervision of student workers or graduate assistants only. |
Required Certificates, Licenses and Registrations | Must possess a valid driver's license, State of Indiana License as an Athletic Trainer |
