Position Summary

HEAD COACH - WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Department of Intercollegiate Athletics
Full Time/Term
 
Primary Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, and administers all aspects of the women’s basketball program including fiscal management
  • Coaches, recruits and provides academic oversight for student-athletes
  • Supervises staff
  • Ensures compliance with University, NCAA, and OVC rules and regulations
  • Develops and administers summer camps and clinics
  • Promotes Southeast Missouri State University and its athletics programs through community involvement, public relations and fund raising under the direction of the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Progressive collegiate women’s basketball coaching experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to actively recruit and attract qualified student-athletes to campus
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate student-athletes academically and athletically
  • Demonstrated budget management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, faculty, community and media
  • Experience in development and administration of summer camps and clinics
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
