EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full-time position
 
PRIMARY DUTY: The Assistant Tennis Coach will be responsible for providing leadership to the men’s and women’s tennis programs. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with managing and directing all aspects of the men’s and women’s tennis programs including on the court coaching
  • Assist with the recruitment of all team members
  • Assist with the administration of all aspects of the tennis programs including scholarship allocation, budget management, team transportation, conditioning, and academic monitoring
  • Supervise and direct Graduate Assistant(s)
  • Engage in fundraising activities as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Certification/License: Driver’s license              
Experience: Experience with coaching on the collegiate level
Skills: Technical skills in the coaching of tennis  

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position must work and travel nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. This position must purchase and maintain a cellular device and service that will be used for work functions. This position must be responsible for plan choices, calling areas, service features, terminations clauses, and paying for all charges associated with the cellular device and service.          
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and direct graduate assistant(s)        
 
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
