Description

This position is responsible for directing all phases of the Men's and Women's tennis programs. North Alabama is currently an NCAA Division I and Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Conference member.

Essential Job Duties

  • Coach, direct, and administer the tennis programs for both Men and Women; 
  • Maintain adherence to NCAA, ASUN, divisional, and university rules and regulations; 
  • Perform general administrative duties as they relate to the programs’ operations;
  • Support the philosophy, goals, and mission of both the University and its intercollegiate athletics program; 
  • Collaborate with the department chair of Kinesiology to identify teaching needs each academic year; 
  • Work with Provost to identify and lead study-abroad coursework; 
  • Enhance public relations for the tennis programs, the division, and the University; 
  • In addition, the Director of Tennis is responsible for teaching at least three courses in the Kinesiology department, including, but not limited to the following: 
    • Essentials of Healthy Living (HPE 175); 
    • Foundations of Health (HPE 213); 
    • Nutrition and Human Performance (HPE 225); and 
    • Public Health (HPE 422).

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Master’s degree in Sports Management, Exercise Science, or related field. Requires previous collegiate coaching and recruiting both domestic and international student-athletes experience.
