Job Summary

• Coordinate with the Athletic Department Administration and serve as a liaison for Women’s Soccer team with various university units (housing, SAAC, budget) on issues related to each respective area.

• Works with Head Coach and assistant coaches with the team and recruiting travel (including travel authorization requests, busses/vans, hotels, and food); game day operations for the team at home (away, as needed) competitions

• Follows FIU procedures in handling all ordering of supplies

• Reviews, understands, and abides by all department procedures

• Maintains confidentiality for the department and all student matters ¿Treats with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity of any matter pertaining to academic and personal data of student athletes and any information either directly or indirectly impacting the University and/or Athletic Department

• Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Sports Operation Student Assistant (Women’s Soccer) Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance

• Performs other related duties are required as directed ¿The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position

Who May Apply

• Students enrolled at FIU,who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
• Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
• Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
