Florida International University (FIU) (Modesto Maidique Campus) is seeking an individual to serve as a Federal Work Study as a Sports Operation Student Assistant (Indoor Volleyball) The successful candidate will assist the Volleyball teams in coordinating and preparing the team and recruiting travel and works in compliance with NCAA bylaws
Duties include:
Coordinate with the Athletic Department Administration and serve as a liaison for Indoor Volleyball team with various university units (housing and SAAC) on issues related to each respective area
Works with Head Coach and assistant coaches with the teams and recruiting travel (including travel authorization requests, busses/vans, hotels, and food); game day operations for the teams at home (away, as needed) competitions
Follows FIU procedures in handling all ordering of supplies
Reviews, understands, and abides by all department procedures
Maintains confidentiality for the department and all student matters Treats with utmost confidentiality and sensitivity of any matter pertaining to academic and personal data of student athletes and any information either directly or indirectly impacting the University and/or Athletic Department
Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA, and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Sports Operation Student Assistant (Men’s Soccer) Report any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance
Performs other related duties are required as directed The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that logically relate to the position
