The Assistant Coach is responsible for fulfilling all duties associated with successful coaching at the college level.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to be a positive role model and representative of the university. This position requires the ability to travel extensively on both weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities include:

• Organize and administer the softball program
• Schedule, attend, and direct team practices
• Demonstrate and coach high level advanced softball skills
• Recruit with a commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Prepare scouting reports
• Oversee ARMS recruiting software related to CARA
• Develop student-athletes including academics and leadership
• Assist the head coach with revenue generation and community engagement
• Assist with fundraising
• Promote programs through social media
• Conduct camps and clinics for scholarships
• Supervise student managers
• Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to be a positive role model and representative of the university.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous college playing or coaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous college pitching or coaching experience
• Use of technology used in softball practices and games

Special Instructions

This is a full-time, salaried, 12-month position with full benefits. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience with additional income possible by conducting mandatory summer camps.
