Reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics. Assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with various aspects of the varsity basketball program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, scheduling, camps/clinics, and game/practice management and fundraising. The assistant men’s basketball coach will adhere to RMAC rules, regulations, and NCAA Division II bylaws. In addition, the assistant men’s basketball coach will represent MSU Denver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program’s philosophies and the athletic department’s core values.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Intercollegiate Athletics

Duties/Responsibilities:
Apply Now40% – Coaching – Assist head coach in coaching team 20% – Recruiting 10% – Scheduling 10% – Game/Practice management 20% – Supervision of student-athletes.
Specific Responsibilities:
Recruit Student-Athletes
Responsible for Game Scheduling (Pre-Season Home & Away Games; Conference Challenge, and Thanksgiving Classic)
Community Engagement Coordinator (Rescue mission, Children’s Hospital Visit, Unified Teams, etc…)
Video Coordinator (Uploading games to Synergy, creating edits for scouting; film breakdown)
Assists with academics
Assists Head Coach in coaching team (Individual workouts, game strategy, and scouting reports)
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Previous competitive and/or coaching experience in specified sport.
Preferred Qualifications:
College coaching experience
Knowledge of NCAA rules
Must possess computer literacy

Salary for Announcement :
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $43,000 - $44,157
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
