Academic/Athletic Success Coordinator
Kentucky Wesleyan College, a private, liberal arts college with a long-standing reputation for
quality and academic excellence, invites applications for a full-time Academic/Athletic Success
Coordinator to join our community and to provide direction, counsel, and mentorship to student-
athletes to help them achieve academic success.
Major Responsibilities
• Meet regularly with student-athletes to address issues such as academic performance,
time management, goal setting, career planning, learning and study strategies, test
taking, note taking, and other skills necessary for academic success.
• Help students resolve registration conflicts, course withdrawals and adjustments,
changes of major, deficient grades, and instructor conflicts.
• Serve as liaison and advocate regarding academic issues for student-athletes and college
constituents.
• Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with faculty and various campus
partners including academic advising, career services, campus life, and financial aid.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of events, programs, and
resources that support student-athletes, particularly related to life skills and their overall
growth and development.
• Supervises coordination of study tables.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in education, public affairs, public health, counseling, social work,
business, or related field.
• Master's degree in higher education student affairs or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and high degree of professionalism.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and with discretion.
• Commitment to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Compensation and Benefits

This position is a nonexempt position and will be paid on an hourly basis. The pay range for this
position is $15.50 to $18.00 per hour.
As Kentucky Wesleyan is a not-for-profit institution, employees may be eligible for loan
forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program of the US Department of
Education.
