Working under general supervision of the Director – Game Management and Operations the Game Management Assistant will help with the regular functions and procedures of all home athletic events for the university's intercollegiate sports.

Working under general supervision of the Director – Game Management and Operations the Game Management Assistant will help with the regular functions and procedures of all home athletic events for the university's intercollegiate sports.

• Assists with Game Management operations. Helps train and supervise Game Management staff.
• Assists with pre-game set-up and post-game take-down for all events
• Coordinates all practice and shoot-around times for visiting teams for each event. Helps prepare locker rooms for visiting teams before each event.
• Under general supervision of the Director of Game Operations, helps game officials pregame and with the locker rooms.
• Assists with concession operations for sporting events.
• Performs tasks relating to facility maintenance, including cleaning and minor repairs.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree plus one year of experience related to Summary of Duties totaling five years.

Preferred Qualifications
Graduated with a standard high school or the equivalent and two years experience related to key roles and responsibilities. Preferred graduation from an accredited institution with an Associate degree and 2 years experience in related field. (Licenses/Certifications:)

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge

• Knowledge of WAC, NCAA and Utah Valley University policy and procedures.
• Knowledge of Intercollegiate NCAA Division I athletics.
• Knowledge of scorer table duties for sporting events. Skills

• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to supervise, train and coordinate event staff.
• Ability to research, rationalize and resolve game management issues and questions.
• Ability to work well within a team environment yet comfortable completing tasks independently.
