ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Student Success division at the University of South Florida, is comprised of 60 departments, providing students with academic support, engagement opportunities, health & wellness services and enhancement of the educational experience.The Office of the Registrar leads a hub of critical services for students, faculty, and staff, including student and academic record keeping, a conflict free academic schedule, registration, graduation, data reporting and state and federal compliance to support the University's educational programs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position assists in the development, coordination, administration, and management of a comprehensive athletics' academic eligibility certification process. As a custodian of these responsibilities, this position is expected to perform all duties in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and all applicable student records, data policy, and data security policies. Provides input on strategic planning, enrollment management, emergency preparedness, State and federal compliance, core work enhancement, performance management, student record and datamanagement and statistical analysis, presentation, reporting, and outcome assessment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Secondary Office of the Registrar certifying official for all NCAA sports related to USF to include verification of eligibility, GPA, progress, status, graduation verification, enrollment status, and other duties as they apply to registration and enrollment.
Serves as the primary transfer articulation (TA) liaison for Athletics. Researches and resolves TA and equivalency problems encountered in evaluating coursework for students seeking admission to the University, including all transfer portal requests. Collaborates with the Enrollment Management Analyst for TA to address transfer equivalency and transfer catalog issues. Follows processes for providing TA support for new Athletic initiatives.
Serves as back up to Admissions, Education Abroad, Undergraduate Studies, IT, and Academic units on transfer articulation (TA) matters. Contributes to development and maintenance of TA documentation and training materials.
Performs all work with confidential and sensitive student information under observance of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and other federal and State guidelines. Informs the individuals working with confidential student information about legal restrictions, privileges, and ethical considerations surrounding its use.
Regularly updates Assistant University Registrar on status of projects, highlighting important issues and areas of concern. Serves on institutional committees at the discretion of supervisor and the University Registrar. Serves as essential personnel for Continuity of Operations Planning for the continuation of essential functions during a disaster or emergency. Supports the mission of Student Success, Enrollment Planning and Management, and the URO with other duties as assigned.

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:**
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with four years of experience in office or administrative positions. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.
PREFERRED:
NCAA Academic Performance Program (APP) Experience and one year of experience enforcing NCAA and American Athletic Conference continuing eligibility rules. Preferred Candidate will have thorough knowledge of registration, transcript and enrollment verification, academic record keeping processes and systems, State and Federal reporting, and enrollment management. Outstanding decision-making, problem solving, organization skills, and research abilities. Ability to develop, identify, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while providing exemplary customer service. Strong working knowledge of and ability to adhere to FERPA.
