Anderson University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Academic Success Coach. The Academic Success Coach’s primary focus is to work as a key resource for academic coaching for the undergraduate student population. This position will partner with campus faculty, staff and coaches to support student success and retention.
Responsibilities
Assist target students in navigating university administration
Monitor and track student progress to stay current to persist and graduate
Outreach to high risk students in crisis to promote early intervention and support
Target outreach to various at-risk student athlete populations to support and engage their transition to AU, with sensitivity to diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and international student populations
Provide guidance to develop student athletes spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and culturally, in order to prepare them for a life of faith and service
Connect with faculty and staff to determine plans for interventions and to ascertain at-risk students
Collaborate with other campus support offices, like the Cultural Resource Center and the First Year Experience mentor, and assisting student to connect with campus resources
Work closely with the Executive Director of Educational Support Services to help monitor the progress of students on Academic Probation and fulfillment of probation requirements
Assist with arranging athletic study tables, focus hours and providing supervision of those students in the KACE area
Serve as point for planning and executing FLIGHT school with the assistance of the Executive Director or Student Success and Educational Support Services and the Director of KACE
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Self-motivated and able to work independently
