Job Summary

The Academic Success Coordinator (Athletics) (ASC-A) will plan, develop, and manage the implementation and monitoring of academic support programming for student-athletes at Augusta University. As a student-centered professional, they will join the team at the Academic Success Center (ASC), a unit dedicated to helping students reach their academic potential, and report to the unit Director. This is a multi-faceted position that is responsive to the academic goals of our student-athletes and supports the `Student First' mission of the AU Athletics Department.

This role requires strong communication and collaborative skills to function effectively as part of a student-centered team. The key tasks of the role include one-on-one academic coaching, developing and monitoring student success plans, hosting seminars and workshops, collaborating with faculty and university stakeholders to ensure clear communication channels and accurate information sharing, maintaining precise records for regular reporting, and advocating for students in their academic journey. The overall goal for the ASC-A is to provide student-athletes with personalized service through an effective coordinating and coaching program designed to help them reach their academic potential.
