The Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport at the NYU School of Professional Studies is seeking an Administrative Aide to report to the Unit's Associate Dean. This employee will perform a wide range of general office duties to support the Associate Dean and the unit, including: scheduling meetings, planning meetings,drafting correspondence, processing expenses, generating reports, and responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, while displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs. This employee will demonstrate skills in Microsoft Office, as well as an ability to modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets.
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
None
Required Experience:
3 years of office experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service.
Preferred Experience:
2 years of office experience (with Associate's degree). 1 year of office experience (with Bachelor's degree).
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding. Good proofreading and writing skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office or proficiency with Apple. Knowledge of desktop publishing software. Knowledge of Access.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $34.629. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
