| Job Summary |
We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Administrative Assistant 3 – Athletics. The primary function of this position is to coordinate and provide administrative support for athletics department staff serving 14 sports and 350 student-athletes. In addition, this position will assist with internal functions in the department including, but not limited to, providing support during athletic events and special events, assisting the Athletics business in day-to-day duties, special projects for the Associate Vice President, Director of Athletics.

The salary for this position is $41,316 (minimum) up to $55,056. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. | Conditions of Employment |
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.
All new employees must comply with EWU Immunization Policy 602-02 and provide proof of immunity or vaccination to MMR before beginning work at EWU. Waivers for the immunization requirements are available for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs.

Successful candidates may be required to work evenings/weekends on days of sporting events and other athletic special occasions.
Light lifting and physical labor required when assisting with game and/or event management operations. Attendance at ticketed athletic events may be required.

| Required Qualifications |
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- One (1) year experience as an Administrative Assistant; OR Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, public administration or closely related field AND one (1) year of relevant and responsible office experience; OR equivalent combination of education and/or clerical or office work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and/or diversity

- Knowledge (through educational degree) or experience in the field of intercollegiate athletics.
- Knowledge or experience with Eastern Washington University and/or State of Washington administrative procedures, practices, and policies.
