Job Summary
Develops and implements and improves support, financial and physical, for the Department of Athletics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Acts as customer service representative and is initial point of contact for the public, whether by phone or in person. Directs calls to proper area or relays information through written documentation. Administers department phone system.
Orders and distributes office supplies, forms, stationary, and envelopes and maintains the drink machine in the office to include paying the bill, ordering drinks, and filling machine.
Files information received or typed, photocopies forms for the athletic department, and proofs forms, questionnaires, and stationary from the printing center.
Responsible for maintaining and distribution of the outgoing and incoming mail.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma with one to two years office experience or other related experience. Some customer service experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel; ability to adapt in an environment with rapidly changing priorities; ability to maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues. Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse group of people.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in marketing, business, management, or other related field.
