Position Summary:
Duke University Athletics is seeking a qualified candidate for the administrative assistant position. This position is responsible for a myriad of tasks while ensuring the proper execution and expectations for the football department. This individual reports directly to the Chief of Staff for Duke Football and will oversee all administrative duties for the department.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum two years related business or administrative experience; familiar with general personnel practices, accounting, budgeting and coordination of major office activities.

Essential Functions:
· Serve as administrative assistant for assistant coaches
· Manage and complete expense reports
· Assist and coordinate all appropriate travel for assistant coaches
· Serve as account contact for team distribution; manage and update changes
· Greet all visitors to the Duke Football Building
· Manage and purchase office supplies for department
· Distribute incoming mail and oversee outgoing mail
· Answer all phone calls and direct appropriately

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
· Excellent written and oral skills
· Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at once
· Proficiency in Microsoft programs
· The ability and skills to deal with the public in a prompt, professional and courteous manner
· Ability to work in a highly dynamic and diverse university setting
· Knowledge of college athletics

Education
Work requires a general educational background normally equivalent to a full high school education plus two years post-secondary education in a business-related field.
