Job Description Summary

Cleary University is seeking a knowledgeable, confident, and approachable Admissions Advisor to recruit traditional new students and student athletes through diverse channels. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Enrollment Management, the Admissions Advisor will bring expertise in identifying pipelines and a full understanding of the student lifecycle from the inquiry to enrollment stages. The Admissions Advisor is student-centered with a professional presence, a growth mindset, and an engaging communication style. They engage in authentic conversations with students, parents, counselors and teachers to communicate specifics with Cleary's value to students' goals, and map students' future career opportunities to our programs. A positive, can-do approach to managing multiple tasks under time constraints and with conflicting demands is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be self-directed and intrinsically motivated to achieve enrollment goals and increase revenue streams.

Characteristic Responsibilities and Duties

• Meet or exceed weekly, quarterly and yearly activities and recruitment goals
• Plan, coordinate, and lead virtual, on and off campus events to ensure the appropriate number of qualified leads are obtained to reach enrollment goals
• Recruit new traditional students through diverse channels including high schools, community colleges, transfer institutions and community/business events
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students and families from the inquiry stage throughout the application process utilizing various networking and communication tactics and platforms.
• Leverage contacts to identify high-quality prospective students and recruiting opportunities
• Use available technology to manage student caseload, including tracking and reporting
• Respond to leads and ensure application materials are processed in a timely manner
• Provide reports, analyses, and success indicators for recruitment events and initiatives
• Support student success through the transition of start of sessions and ensure smooth handoff to other department staff to create a positive student experience
• Provide support for university events and programs (e.g., orientations, move-in day fundraising events, summer programs, graduation, etc.)
• Actively engage in professional development activities and share knowledge with others
• Assists in the planning and admissions review of prospective student-athletes.
• Manages the compilation and timely dissemination of detailed student-athlete admission reports and updates to coaches, sport supervisors, and Athletic Director.
• Meets with prospective student-athletes (and their family members) on their recruiting visits as requested by coaching staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Travel locally and nationally, when necessary, for networking and recruiting related activities

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with two-years of experience in sales, admission, marketing or related activities
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an admission or inside sales environment
• Experience with CRMs (Salesforce strongly preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications and database management programs
• Demonstrated initiative, independent judgment, diplomacy, and service-oriented attitude
• Commitment to improving skills and acquiring new technical knowledge
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking
• Strong interpersonal skills, such as collaboration, confidence, assertiveness, humility, empathy, and the ability to interact with others
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel (primarily in Michigan) . Some evening and weekend work and occasional overnight travel required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business
• 4+ years relevant experience in an admission or inside sales environment
• Recruitment or corporate business development a plus
• Understanding of industries, organizational functions, and business career options preferred
