This position organizes and executes undergraduate recruitment programs and initiatives, working closely with fellow members of the Enrollment Management team and other campus partners, to attract and enroll students to the college; especially inter-collegiate and club athletes. This role is centered in service and supports student success by recruiting a dynamic and diverse student population.It is required that the employee be on-campus, in-person but occasional remote work is possible.
Primary Responsibilities
Enrollment Support
Serve as a primary point of contact to assist prospective inter-collegiate and club sport student athletes and families through their university search and application completion, FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), housing application, registration. Etc. , by strategic communication efforts (via email, telephone, and other communication resources). Review and evaluate applications for admission. Approximately 400 per year. Establish and nurture relationships with high school counselors, CBO partners, and campus constituents as part of larger enrollment strategies and initiatives. Articulate the value of a liberal arts education to diverse audiences through regular virtual and in-person presentations, one-on-one meetings, and other forms of communication. Contribute to the enrollment mission, vision, and values through regular participation and occasional leadership in Enrollment Management Action Teams. Regular travel throughout the year and/or at specified times of the year will be required. Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required.
Athletics Liaison
Communicates with inter-collegiate and club coaching staff and athletics director throughout the recruitment cycle through one-on-one meetings with coaches representing admissions at athletics departments meetings. Works with Campus Visit Specialist to coordinate inter-collegiate and club athlete admissions visits to campus. Coordinates early-read process for prospective student athletes. Coordinates data sharing and Slate CRM usage with coaching staff. Supports efforts to coordinate and vitalize club sports recruitment.

May be designated as essential personnel in cases of campus closure or emergency., Other duties as assigned.
Regular travel throughout the year and/or at specified times of the year will be required., Extended hours, including evenings and weekends will be required., Valid drivers license and successful DMV check required., Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds required., Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds required.
Qualifications
B.A. or B.S. degree and two to four years of higher education or other relevant experience. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new software programs. Ability to efficiency work independently and as part of a team. Effective interviewing skills for one-on-one interviews as well as public speaking skills for group presentations. Ability to adapt to changes in work environment where the workload, speed, and type of work varies throughout the admissions cycle. Robust writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with diverse populations. Multi-tasking, creativity, and critical thinking abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, demonstrate organizational skills, and meet deadlines. Ability and willingness to accept constructive feedback in order to improve work performance. Desire to have fun in a professional team setting.
Inter-collegiate and/or sport athletic experience, either personal or professional. Education or professional experience at liberal arts institutions. Experience working with a customer relations manager (CRM) system in a higher education admissions capacity. Experience with Slate. Foreign language proficiency, especially fluent Spanish-speaking, is also preferred.
