Position Summary:
The Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations will have oversight of accounting and financial
reporting for the Department of Athletics and be the primary liaison to the University Business Office.
Responsibilities include: Day to day business office activities including accounting-related functions involved in
the preparation and maintenance of financial and other related business records. Analyze and prepare budget
reports, statements, and spreadsheets for internal and external use. Direct the reconciliation of all sport-
specific programs and department transactions. Develop systems for monitoring financial transactions and
internal data used to effectively estimate budget projections and forecasts. Manage annual budget preparation
process. Prepare and submit annual reports: EADA, NCAA and Conference financial reports, post-season
competition reports and ad hoc financial analysis reports. Athletics staff are expected to maintain a
professional demeanor, and uphold Western Oregon University policies and procedures, including but not
limited to Title IX and FERPA.

Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree
● 1-2 years’ experience in Accounting, Budget Management, Athletics Business Operations, EADA/NCAA

Reporting and Travel Reconciliation

● First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
