This position is tasked with assuring that staff, student-athletes and other groups representing the institution’s athletics interests comply with applicable
NCAA
, Conference, and institutional rules and regulations. In the role of Assistant AD for Compliance, the individual will direct and assist in all areas of rules compliance, including but not limited to rules education, recruiting, amateurism, eligibility, awards and benefits, and playing/practice seasons. The position will maintain a working knowledge of
NCAA
, conference and institutional rules and regulations. Oversee two varsity sports. The position will report to the Associate Director for Compliance and Sport Administration. A demonstrated commitment to issues of social justice and diversity is essential.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree and two to four years related experience with
NCAA
Rules and Division I compliance required. Knowledge of expectations on student-athletes and coaches for
NCAA
Division I athletics program required. Effective written and oral communication skills required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
$55,000 to $65,000/year
Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees
