This position will lead, plan, direct and assess all game management responsibilities for
SMSU
home athletic events and high school athletic contests with a focus on improving of game environment, customer service, fan experience and revenue generation. Direct the athletic ticket process working with athletic staff members, Mustang Boosters and season ticket
Master’s Degree in Sports Management or a related field plus one year of professional experience in sports-related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management or a related field plus two years of professional experience in sport-related field. Related fields could include marketing, sports management, game and/or event operations, athletic administration, ticket sales/advertising, etc.
Experience and knowledge in Intercollegiate Athletics to understand the areas of game management, scheduling, ticketing, fund raising, and special events.
Have knowledge and understanding of
NCAA
,
NSIC
and Minnesota State System policies and procedures in order to work with compliance, fiscal responsibilities, donor relations, and equity in athletics issues.
Possess computer skills for word processing, database and spreadsheets.
Demonstrated abilities to supervise and manage staff.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills.
