As a member of the Division of University Advancement, the Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Giving is charged with contributing to the success of UAlbany's annual unrestricted gifts campaign, which has an overall goal of raising $6+ million in charitable donations from alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty, staff and corporations annually. This individual's primary responsibility is to increase philanthropic support for UAlbany by securing annual fund gifts through the Great Dane Athletic Club (GDAC), the membership-based annual giving program focused on UAlbany Athletics.

Professional Rank and Salary Range: Associate Director of Fund Raising, SL4, $70,000 - 75,000.
Special Notes: This title is in Appendix C of the SUNY Policies of the Board of Trustees and, as a consequence, incumbents serving in this title are not eligible for permanent appointment (tenure), but, instead, receive three-year renewable term appointments. For the first four years of employment, the employee gets a term appointment of at least one year and up to three years. If an internal candidate accepts the position and moves to an Appendix C title from a UUP professional title in which they have permanency, the employee begins with a one-year probationary period in the Appendix C title. If the employee successfully completes the one-year probationary period, the employee will be granted a three-year term appointment in the Appendix C title and shall not retain permanent appointment in the former professional title.
