The Assistant Athletic Director (AD) of Athletic Development is responsible for helping to advance the fundraising and engagement strategic priorities of the Department of Athletics and Recreations at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass Boston). With a major emphasis on increasing the total number of donors as overall philanthropic contributions to the department, the Assistant AD will work to develop and implement strategies to achieve athletic department goals including but not limited to managing the athletics annual fundraising program, planning, developing, and executing athletic related fundraising and stewardship events. Additionally, manage a small portfolio of athletic donors with the purpose of qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Athletic Director for Strategic Advancement, the Assistant AD of Athletic Development will collaborate with colleagues in the Athletic Department, University Advancement, University Communications, and the Sports Leadership and Administration Program members to cultivate active volunteers and increase opportunities for engagement across campus.
