Assistant Athletic Director for Business Administration

The University of Evansville (UE) Athletics Department is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Assistant Athletic Director for Business Administration. This is a strategic role responsible for the financial health and operational efficiency of our Division I athletic program.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Athletic Director for Business Administration serves as the financial backbone of the department. Your main duties will include:

  • Real-Time Budgetary Management: Develop and maintain a real-time budgetary tool that reconciles university accounting system data with pending requests and payments.
  • Fiscal Oversight: Review and approve procurement card transactions, departmental purchases, and travel requests, ensuring adherence to institutional policies.
  • Financial Planning: Collaborate with coaches and staff to manage fund allocation throughout the fiscal year and lead planning efforts for fiscal year-end.
  • Leadership Reviews: Conduct monthly budget review meetings with coaches, sport supervisors, and the Athletic Director to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary department contact for campus support areas, including Risk Management, Purchasing, and Fiscal Affairs.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the financial processing of student-athlete injury insurance claims and coordinate the financial logistics for athletics facility rentals and team camps.
