Job Summary

 

Responsible for supporting the strategic growth, operational efficiency, and overall success of the football program. This role works closely with the Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, and senior staff to oversee program initiatives, player development resources, academic support, compliance, and community engagement. The position ensures alignment with institutional goals, NCAA regulations, and the broader mission of the athletic department.

• Provide strategic leadership for the football program in alignment with departmental and institutional goals. Collaborate with the Athletic Director, Develop and implement long-term plans that support competitive success, program growth, and student-athlete development.
• Support initiatives to enhance recruiting, player development, and competitive success.
• Assist with strategic planning and key operational activities for the Football program.
• Assist with overseeing budgets, scheduling, travel logistics, and resource allocation.
• Monitor eligibility, recruiting practices, and reporting requirements.

• Provide strategic leadership for the football program in alignment with departmental and institutional goals. Collaborate with the Athletic Director, Develop and implement long-term plans that support competitive success, program growth, and student-athlete development.
• Support initiatives to enhance recruiting, player development, and competitive success.
• Assist with strategic planning and key operational activities for the Football program.
• Assist with overseeing budgets, scheduling, travel logistics, and resource allocation.
• Monitor eligibility, recruiting practices, and reporting requirements.
• Partner with academic services and internal support units to monitor student-athlete academic progress and retention. Support initiatives focused on leadership development, life skills, and career readiness to promote holistic student-athlete success.
• Support alumni, donor, and community engagement efforts related to the football program. Coordinate with advancement, marketing, and external relations to assist with outreach events, fundraising initiatives, and public representation of the program.
• Supervise support staff and graduate assistants.
• Oversee the collection and analysis of program data related to recruiting, performance outcomes, and operational effectiveness. Prepare reports and recommendations for senior leadership to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Adheres to all State of Florida, University, NCAA, Conference USA and department rules and policies pertaining to the position of Assistant Athletic Director of strategic initiatives. Reports any known NCAA violations or concerns to the Director of Athletic Compliance and be responsible for the monitoring of any subordinate as it relates to NCAA regulations
• Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position

Minimum Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years of experience or Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience.
