The University of Texas Permian Basin's Department of Athletics welcomes applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Game Operation and Promotions
Under general direction, is responsible to ensure the proper operations of all Athletic Department Events; ensure that all operations and promotional activities within the Athletic Department are in compliance with NCAA, conference, State of Texas, and institutional rules and regulations.
Organize overall game operations and serve as game operations manager at home athletic events.
Coordinate with University Police Department to provide security at home athletic events.
Assess and implement staffing needs for all athletic home events.
Ensure proper crowd control pursuant to Lone Star Conference and University policies.
Assist with Emergency Action Plans for home athletic events.
Organize and coordinate game day set-ups and tear-downs with athletic staff as necessary.
Direct athletic department staff as necessary during game day.
Provide input on all matters related to athletic game operations.
Be proactive in providing pertinent information to the Director of Athletics and other Administrative Staff on any and all potential problems.
Design and implement in-game promotions to engage attendees.
Ensure fulfillment of in-game promotions pursuant corporate partnership agreements including but not limited to, pre-game, half-time, timeout coordination and preparation of game protocol/countdown information.
12. Recruit, supervise and train all student employees working the games.
13. Keep the Director of Athletics current on all activities, plans, and evaluations relating to projects within areas assigned.
14. Be committed to the compliance process and assist with rules education.
15. Serve as an ambassador of UT Permian Basin and its Athletics Department to all public entities.
Required Qualifications
High-School diploma with three years of accounting experience or Bachelor's degree in business-related field*
*comparable degree and related experience will also be considered

Schedule
Generally, the hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.
Standard Working Conditions
Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
