POSITION SUMMARY:**  ** The Assistant AD for Marketing and Events will be responsible for planning, creating, and executing a marketing plan for all sports to help increase revenue, ticket sales, social media presence, and attendance. The Assistant AD for Marketing and Events will be a critical team player in marketing, creating a game day atmosphere, increasing the brand, oversee ticketing and coordinating community/campus engagement.

 

P** RIMARY DUTIES: *** *

• Coordinate marketing, digital media, special events, and community engagement with the Director of Athletics.  
• Assist with overseeing game management for home athletic events, including game presentations, promotional activities, crowd control, and volunteers.  
• Supervise, develop, and provide leadership in all areas of ticketing, marketing, promotions, and community engagement.
• Develop advertising and promotional campaigns to maximize attendance at all athletic events.
• Develop a plan to increase engagement and brand awareness through digital media.
• Attend University and community functions to help promote the institution. 
• Committed to MIAA and NCAA compliance. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**  **

• Bachelor’s degree with experience in marketing, communications, athletic fundraising, or athletic administration.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:**  **

• A demonstrated knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a collegiate athletic department.  
• A proven record in following directives and being responsible for tasks that have been assigned.  
• Knowledge of NCAA rules pertaining to parents, boosters, and fans. 
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

REPORTS TO:**  ** Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics

SUPERVISION GIVEN TO:   Graduate Assistant for Marking and Events, interns and student-workers.

POSITION:   Full-time
