Assistant Athletic Director for Operations

Essential Functions

• Support the mission, vision, & values of Bethel College
• Oversee athletic fundraising events/processing including E-team, booster club, hometown heroes, and athletics golf tournament
• Athletic event gameday administration
• Athletics transportation coordinator
• NAIA and KCAC Champions of Character liaison for Bethel College
• Oversee all concession management for all Bethel Athletic activities
• Serve as a role model and resource for student-athletes, coaches, and other regarding issues pertaining to gender equity and Title IX
• Management of the athletics master calendar
• Oversee NAIA eligibility compliance documents
• Facilitate athletic gameday activities/promotions while working with local community organizations to enhance community involvement and fan attendance at Bethel Athletic activities

• Work closely with the Sports Information Director of all media necessities

• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to changing work processes, including moving from in-person to remote work and back, as necessitated by College policy or as directed by the supervisor

• Satisfy the duties of a Campus Security Authority (CSA) relating to Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (“Clery Act”) and Mandated Reporter relating to Title IX and the Bethel College Equal Opportunity, Harassment, & Non-Discrimination Policy and Procedures

• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position

• Comply with Bethel College policies and procedures

Secondary Functions

• Perform other duties as determined by the Director of Athletics

Supervisory Responsibility

• 1 office assistant
• Employment Experience Students who work as student workers for athletic department. This can include level 1, 2, 3, or 4 students depending on experience and job responsibility.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, required
• Master’s degree, preferred
• Athletic administrative work, high school or college, required
• Head Coach at the collegiate or high school level, preferred
• Collegiate administrative supervisory role, such as athletic director or sports information director, preferred

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

• First Aid/CPR certification (must be active within 60 days of employment), required
• NAIA Champions of Character-Driven Coaches online course, required
• Valid driver’s license, required
