Job Summary

This shall include, but not limited to: roster management, revenue generation, brand partnership cultivation, authentic NIL, revenue-sharing/collective payments, and contract workflow. This position will oversee all NIL activities related to external stakeholders such as alumni, donors, business owners, representatives, collectives, and other third-parties for all Illinois State University NIL related opportunities and initiatives. This position will handle all interactions with student-athlete representation/agents and contract negotiations for NIL arrangements. This position will be the general manager for all sport programs and evaluate coaches regarding their recruiting classes, on-field performance, NIL spending, and roster management. This position will also organize and promote NIL educational events, share student-athlete successes, and assist student-athletes with promoting and protecting their individual name, image, and likeness.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$60,000 - $63,000 annual

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree.
   
2. Two (2) years (24 months) of full-time or part-time equivalent experience in D1 intercollegiate athletics administration, preferably in compliance or NIL, or related field.
   
3. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and NIL legislation.
   
4. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master’s degree
   
2. Four (4) or more years of experience in intercollegiate athletics administration or related field.
   
3. Experience with intercollegiate compliance software (e.g. ARMS, INFLCR).

Work Hours

Core hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Frequent weekend and night availability required.

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
2. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
3. Remain at a workstation for extended periods.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
