Job Description

General Functions:

 

Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations assists with all aspects of the Athletic Department, which includes all athletic services and programs.  Including but not limited to direct supervision of staff members and programs, athletic department procedures, strategic planning, fiscal oversight, game day environment, equipment and facilities.  This leadership role is vital to provide seamless support in all financial, administrative and personnel matters to all coaches and staff.  This position regularly evaluates department practices and opportunities for growth, while serving in goal setting and strategic planning as part of the athletics leadership team.  As a member of the Jewell Community, the Assistant Athletic Director – Internal Operations is fully responsible for compliance with all College policies and procedures in addition to all applicable bylaws of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). At William Jewell College, Intercollegiate Athletics are a meaningful part of a student’s educational experience and valued as a co-curricular activity.
