This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. A valid driver’s license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.
Oversee all aspects of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) external strategy, and sport-specific giving as they relate to UTEP Athletics.
Essential Functions
Build relationships and educate donors, corporate sponsors, and other constituents of UTEP Athletics on the evolving landscape of NIL in intercollegiate athletics.
Serve as the main liaison between UTEP Athletics, managing the relationships with NIL collectives.
Stay current on new NIL legislation and trends and serve as the knowledge expert for the department of intercollegiate athletics.
Work directly with all seventeen (17) sport programs to identify fundraising opportunities for their respective excellence funds, while also identifying NIL opportunities for their student-athletes.
Develop long-term plan for sport-specific giving.
Serve as a key member of the Miner Athletic Club team, participating in fundraising and intercollegiate athletics events.
Serve on the external leadership team of the Athletic Department.
Solicit lead and major gifts.
Aid in annual fund and ticket sales strategies.
Work closely with Director of Development for Stewardship and Events to properly steward sport-specific donors.
Work directly with Athletics Compliance Office to ensure all aspects of NIL and sport-specific giving are within NCAA Guidelines.
Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
and
Experience: 2 - 3 years of experience in Intercollegiate Athletics
Applicants Should Demonstrate:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of computerized fundraising and ticketing systems.
Public relations and promotion skills.
Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations.
Understanding of Gender Equity and Title IX as they relate to Intercollegiate Athletics.
Detailed understanding of athletic fundraising, NCAA NIL landscape.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
