The Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Communications, reporting to the Senior Associate AD for External Operations, will serve to expand the overall awareness of the University, athletics department, student-athletes, and coaches to the faculty/staff on-campus and in the greater community as well as support the public relations value for the university’s mission and vision. This position will serve as the primary Communications contact for up to five assigned sports and provide oversight over communications efforts for all department programs. | | Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience |

Create relationship with local media outlets and partners. Responsible for maintenance of the Athletics website including but not limited to independently determining the content that is written and posted to the athletics website; writing biographical sketches of coaches, student-athletes and staff and other pertinent information, including in-depth feature stories. Create graphics for use on Athletics website and social media, and coordinate with Asst AD for Video Services and Digital Strategy to edit and post-game/event/interview highlight clips for the website and social media.

• SID Committee Member for the Big South,
• Liaison to College Sports Communicators.
