Quinnipiac University, an independent university located in Hamden, Connecticut, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Athletics Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement.As the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand image and fostering a passionate fan base for our athletic programs. This position combines strategic sales and marketing initiatives with creative fan engagement strategies to enhance the overall fan experience and elevate the visibility of our athletic department.

The University is a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Hockey League (ECAC), the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and is an NCAA Division I member sponsoring 21 varsity sports.

Fulfill corporate sponsorship components that will enhance our game presentation and community partnerships

Assist box office with group sales initiatives and ticket-driven promotions
Create and implement the overall advertising plan, paid social campaign, and branding efforts; work directly with our Ad Agency and QU MarCom Department
Serve as primary point person working with Office of Student Affairs to increase student involvement and participation in Athletic events. Design effective on-campus marketing initiatives to increase student attendance
Develop student promotions, giveaways, in-game contests to increase game-day experience
Direct oversight of Athletic spirit groups- ie, Pep Band, IceCats, Sideline Cheer
Coordinate with Athletic Communications to utilize social media platforms to engage fans/students.
Establish special events, coordinate game day promotional activities; coordinate community and on-campus events to support our ticket marketing and promotional initiatives
Work in compliance with all NCAA, MAAC Conference, and ECAC Conference rules and regulations. During the period of this appointment this position will report directly to the Executive Director of the M&T Bank Arena
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree preferrred
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in sports marketing and event management, preferably at a NCAA Division I institution or professional sports organization
Possess significant skill in the use of computer software and social media platforms
Must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
Effective communication and organizational skills are necessary, including experience in event marketing, sales, advertising, and promotions
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
