Under the general direction of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, this position provides broad professional level support and is responsible to act as a direct liaison between numerous constituent groups associated with the administration of the Athletic Department. This position supervises selected sport programs, which may include football operations, and special projects as assigned by the Athletic Director. This position serves on the Senior Staff and may represent the Athletic Director in their absence.

| Essential Duties Summary |
- The position is responsible for all intercollegiate athletic operations including but not limited to: event and game set up and logistics (for athletic and outside events), supervision of part-time assistant and student staff, communication with game officials and all university users/service providers, order necessary equipment and supplies and manage the game and event operations budget.
Researches, studies and analyzes Athletic Department operations including matters related to game guarantees and game day contracts and travel and lodging contracts. Prepares detailed and comprehensive reports of findings, provides recommendations, and implements procedural or policy changes for sponsorship contractual obligations.
Plans, programs, and executes initiatives and special projects directed by the Athletic Director. Ensures that all special projects are actively moving forward by monitoring assigned personnel and programs, integration with various campus organizations, and customer service initiatives.
The Assistant Athletic Director of Operations will provide management support including the development and maintenance of individual sports budget and fostering collegial working relationships with university administration and student services departments. This is not an exhaustive listing of the duties and responsibilities for this position.

Knowledge of:
Must abide by and comply in all respects with the constitution, bylaws, rules, regulations, advisory opinions, and interpretations, as amended (collectively “Rules and Regulations”) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (“NCAA”) and the Rules and Regulations of the SWAC relating to the conduct and administration of University’s Intercollegiate Athletics Department.
In the event employee becomes aware, or has reasonable cause to believe, that a violation of NCAA or Conference Rules and Regulation or University policies and procedures may have taken place, shall promptly report such violations or suspected violations to the Athletic Director.
