Job Description
Essential Functions:
Provides leadership and is accountable for day-to-day operation for the Ticket Sales team to create and implement comprehensive sales campaigns and strategies for each ticketed sport with the objective of increasing attendance, increasing revenue, and generating new fans within the Wake Forest and Winston Salem/Triad communities.
Supervises and manages a team of 4+ ticket sales Account Executives, responsible for the training, guidance, and success of each individual in effort to achieve ticket sales and revenue goals.
Responsible for premium seating sales and inventory management for football, men’s basketball, and baseball.
Works alongside data analytics staff to evaluate and identify new revenue opportunities.
Works with Wake Forest administration to set sales team commission structures, evaluate commission structures, and reports on progress and achievements of the sales team.
Responsible for collaborating and working with the Deacon Club and various campus partners in cultivating new donors and helping ensure success of various Wake Forest events at football games including Family Weekend, Homecoming, and others as scheduled.
Collaborates with multiple departments including the ticket office, development, communications, creative services, fan experience, Learfield, and many more aimed to increase revenues for the department.
Work closely with the Deacon Club to help increase membership and fundraising revenue while assisting in their goals and campaigns.
Creates and implements effective sales plans and campaigns aimed at increasing ticket sales and revenue while working towards capacity crowds at all ticketed events.
Coordinates with the Digital and Email Marketing team to develop comprehensive communication strategies to best inform, promote, entertain, and sell Wake Forest tickets.
Responsible for acclimating within the Wake Forest, Winston-Salem, and Triad communities in effort to build relationships and new fans, while also generating new group and season ticket buyers for athletic events.
Responsible for corporate ticket sales outreach within the Winston Salem and Triad communities.
Promotes the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program by adhering to all Departmental policies and procedures, as well as rules and regulations of the University, the Atlantic Coast Conference, and the NCAA. Ensures compliance with all applicable University, ACC, and NCAA rules and regulations.
Serves as requested on campus, community, ACC and NCAA committees.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree plus a total of 5 years progressively increasing responsibility experience in athletics ticketing, ticket sales, marketing, fan experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Superior demonstrated knowledge of ticket sales and operations, season ticket and group sales, fundraising and development, building relationships, and leading a staff of Account Executives in ticket sales.
Knowledge of data analytics, lead list generation, and the ability to drive more fans to athletic events.
Knowledge and awareness of NCAA compliance regulations, guidelines and legislative process.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Demonstrate initiative and understanding of the sense of urgency required in autonomy conference athletics.
Ability to foster a cooperative environment.
Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Flexibility to travel and work evenings and weekends.
Ability to meet the requirements of the University’s automobile insurance.
