• Direct the selling of all athletic single-game and season tickets including communication and great customer support as well as hiring/staffing help for selling tickets.
• Manage the ticketing system (University Ticket System).
• Create single-game and season ticket sales tactics, plans and communication in coordination with Athletics staff in coordination with the Associate Athletic Director/Head Wrestling Coach.

Primary Duties

Ticketing

• Direct the selling of all athletic single-game and season tickets including communication and great customer support as well as hiring/staffing help for selling tickets.
• Manage the ticketing system (University Ticket System).
• Create single-game and season ticket sales tactics, plans and communication in coordination with Athletics staff in coordination with the Associate Athletic Director/Head Wrestling Coach.
• Hire and oversee ticket/event management team of students, work study and interns.

Facility Management

• Facility manager of all athletics facilities; generating work orders, managing ThunderTron and Massari video board and score table content in coordination with Daktronics;
• Managing Musco Lighting System
• Soliciting and creating facility rental agreements
• Submitting deposits for facility rentals
• Scheduling practices and games
• Creating and distributing internal/external events calendar
• Monitoring EMS system
• Scheduling all Recreation events at athletic facilities and serving as point of contact for all facilities in use.
• Solicit outside events and serve as point of contact for all outside groups
• Coordinate camps and clinics.

Game-day Operations Manager

• Game-day operations manager for home sporting events with support from specific event game administrators and sport supervisors
• Ensure that game officials are scheduled and confirmed for all events via RefQuest
• Organize volunteers for events, as needed
• Liaison for visiting team and game officials prior to an event; Ensure all items necessary for home game management are properly planned
• Develop game-day scripts (various sports including volleyball and basketball).
   

Ancillary Duties

Other duties as assigned by Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships and Associate Athletic Director/Head Wrestling Coach.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution
• Willing and able to work nights and weekends Physical ability to fulfill duties of the position including lifting up to 50 lbs. and having the mobility needed to demonstrate skills and movement required in practices/contests.
• Experience in the area of facility and/or event management

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development to ensure that skill and techniques are consistent with the most current methodologies
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with students, coaches, administrators, and staff.
• Demonstrated commitment to abide by all University, conference, NCAA and athletic training regulations.
• Experience with and commitment to working with varying student populations.
• Previous experience in higher education in the area of tickets, facility and/or event management.

Additional Job Description

This position is .75 FTE.

Salary

$35,000 to $42,000
