SUMMARY:
Lawrence Technological University, an NAIA Institution and member of the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference is accepting applications for Assistant Athletic Operations Coordinator. This position will report to the Assistant Athletic Director Facilities and Operations. The Assistant Athletic Operations Coordinator supports the mission of the college by assisting with all facets of event management, game operations, and athletic facilities.

JOB DUTIES:

· Assist with the event management for all 30 sports and directly oversees game operations for men’s and women’s volleyball, baseball, women’s lacrosse, and football assistant. Duties include but are not limited to event staffing, coordinating with sports medicine, developing game-day operations manuals for each sport, organizing game operations meetings for football season, coordinating with coaching staffs on game-day needs, communicating with officials and visiting teams, etc.

· Assists with overseeing the game day operation staff for Athletics, including, but not limited to, securing groups to clean facilities post-game, setting up events and athletic contests, and managing/supervising game operations on a game-to-game basis.

The Assistant Athletic Operations Coordinator supports the mission of the college by assisting with all facets of event management, game operations, and athletic facilities.

JOB DUTIES:

· Assist with the event management for all 30 sports and directly oversees game operations for men’s and women’s volleyball, baseball, women’s lacrosse, and football assistant. Duties include but are not limited to event staffing, coordinating with sports medicine, developing game-day operations manuals for each sport, organizing game operations meetings for football season, coordinating with coaching staffs on game-day needs, communicating with officials and visiting teams, etc.

· Assists with overseeing the game day operation staff for Athletics, including, but not limited to, securing groups to clean facilities post-game, setting up events and athletic contests, and managing/supervising game operations on a game-to-game basis.

· Assists with overseeing ticket operations for the athletic department, including, but not limited to, selling tickets at ticketed athletic events, setting pricing for athletic contests, and managing/supervising student assistants during athletic contests.

· Coordinates the scheduling of Athletic Department Facilities with coaches and internal groups and assists with outside rentals for practices, games, etc.

· Assists with the coordination of Brother Rice Football Game Rentals in the Fall.

· Assists with Facility Oversight alongside other duties/projects as assigned/directed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversight of part-time workers and student-workers

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor’s degree is required and two years experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work non-traditional hours, including late night and weekends. Enthusiasm and willingness to develop, initiate, and actively recruit, retain, and develop student-athletes. Commitment to work and educate inclusively with a diverse student population. Sound administrative and supervisory skills.

COMMENTS:
Hours may vary depending upon work assignment. This position requires the employee to perform some responsibilities off campus. While acting as a representative of Lawrence Technological University, it is important that the employee be knowledgeable and professional. Communication skills (both oral and written), organizational skills, and the ability to handle changing priorities are essential for success in this position. This position may require working evenings and some weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) especially during peak times of campus activity. Vacation time may not be approved during said peak activity.
