Job Summary

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will provide quality health care primarily to their assigned sport but support other staff members with health care for all 400+ student-athletes at Illinois State University. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for all aspects of health care including, but not limited to: practice coverage, competition coverage, treatment, rehabilitation, post-injury care, injury prevention, and facilitation of physician referrals. Additional administrative duties will be assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

$50,000 - $60,000

Required Qualifications

1. Master's degree
   
2. Illinois state Athletic Trainer's license or Illinois state Athletic Trainer's license eligible.
   
3. BOC certification

Preferred Qualifications

1-2 years of football experience

Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods
2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis
