Duties: The State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz welcomes applications for the role of Assistant Athletics Trainer in the department of Athletics, Wellness & Recreation. This position holds an 11-month part-time obligation with a full month of defined periods to equate to one month of recess during the year, contingent upon operating need. Under the direction of the Director of Sports Medicine , the Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist in the development and the implementation of programs for the prevention of injuries to student-athletes, administer first aid and emergency medical care, and administer rehabilitation for injuries. Qualifications: Required:
• Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training or related fields
• NATABOC certification
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification

Preferred:
• Master of Science in Athletic Training or related fields
• Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist
