Assistant Athletic Trainer - 11 Months
This is a full time, 11 month position (August-June) reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer and will assist with all phases of the athletic training program for a NCAA Division II program sponsoring 18 sports. Seeking an athletic trainer who is cooperative, adaptable, professional, and self-directed.Responsibilities: Provide athletic training services to student athletes Develop, implement, and provide measures to reduce injury for athletes and teams.o Provide immediate and ongoing care for injuries to athletes.o Work directly on a day-to-day basis with several athletic teamso Travel with at least one athletic team to away contests Supervise and act as clinical preceptor for athletic training students Assist in administrative claims processing with primary and secondary insurance for injuries Perform athletic training administrative duties includingo Written and oral communication with physicians, coaches, student-athletes, administration.o Documentation of injury evaluation and care.o Maintenance of equipment.o Inventory Ability to travel with teams when needed and work evening/weekend hours Assist in conducting CPR re-certification for coaches and staff Other duties as assigned as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer
Qualifications:Required qualifications include:A bachelor’s degree;BOC certified;Missouri license or license-eligible;demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred qualifications include:Master’s degree;experience in the clinical setting as an athletic trainer;experience working with athletic injury insurance;experiencing supervising students in CAATE accredited program.
