This is a full time, 11 month position reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer and will assist with all phases of the athletic training program for a
NCAA
Division II program sponsoring 18 sports. Seeking an athletic trainer who is cooperative, adaptable, professional, and self-directed.
Responsibilities:
Provide athletic training services to student athletes
Develop, implement, and provide measures to reduce injury for athletes and teams.
Provide immediate and ongoing care for injuries to athletes.
Work directly on a day-to-day basis with several athletic teams
Travel with at least one athletic team to away contests
Supervise and act as clinical preceptor for athletic training students
Perform athletic training administrative duties including
o Written and oral communication with physicians, coaches, student-athletes, administration.
o Documentation of injury evaluation and care.
o Maintenance of equipment.
o Inventory.
Ability to travel with teams when needed and work evening/weekend hours
Maintain
BOC
and Missouri license credential
Other duties as assigned as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer
Required Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
A bachelor’s degree;
BOC
certified;
Missouri license or license-eligible;
Demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Evidence of the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
A master’s degree;
experience in the clinical setting as an athletic trainer;
experience in the collegiate setting;
experiencing supervising students in
CAATE
accredited program.
