| Job Description Summary |
The Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of prevention, care, and rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries.
This position will serve as the primary athletics trainer for a designated group of sports, as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.

| Required Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills |
- Bachelor’s degree
- NATABOC certification
- NYS Licensure or eligibility
- CPR, First Aid, AED for Professional Rescuer certification
- At least 1-3 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics, collision sports, or related fields

| Preferred Education, Experience, Technology Applications and Skills |
- Master’s degree
- American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED Instructor certification
|
| Supervisory Responsibilities |
- Student worker staff members
|
| Physical Requirements |
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods; assist with lifting and carrying injured athletes as needed; demonstrate a variety of rehabilitation exercises; and work in a typical office environment using a computer, phone, and other office equipment. Must also be able to perform CPR if required.

- Basic office equipment, including but not limited to telephone, computer, copier, and scanner.
- AED and any specific modalities as required.
