The University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer with sports responsibilities for: Women’s Soccer and Women’s Lacrosse. This position might include additional administrative responsibilities as arranged with the Head Athletic Trainer.  This

11-month position is renewed yearly (Open Format).  The Head Athletic Trainer will arrange 5 weeks off per year to meet position requirements.  Start date: Arranged when filled.

JOB CRITERIA :

• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (Experience preferred - entry level eligible)

• KY Licensed or eligible for Kentucky State Licensure

SPORT RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Sport assignments: As described

• Practice coverage for varsity teams, home event coverage for varsity & junior varsity events if apply, and travel as arranged with coaches

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in supervision of undergraduate work study, First Aid Responders
• Schedule medical appointments and coordinate insurance claims with Dept. Admin Asst.
• Handle preparatory team paperwork yearly for preparticipation clearance.
• Assist with Summer Orientation Physicals for in-coming Freshman/Transfers as scheduled
• Daily management of rehabilitation activities and practice preparation
• Administrative paperwork and Injury reporting for your teams (ATS-Keffer Development & SWAY)
• Other responsibilities as assigned or requested by the Head Athletic Trainer
