Athletic Training Services in Intercollegiate Athletics
1. Oversee general administration of the athletic training facilities.
2. Provide prevention, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries to intercollegiate athletes.
3. Prepare and cover athletic practices and games (JV as applicable), including travel.
4. Document injuries/illnesses and assist athletes with insurance claims.
5. Refer to medical director and other healthcare professionals.
6. Communicate with coaches and medical professionals.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position may involve supervision of clinical education students from another institution. This position may involve supervision of work-study students.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. In some situations, the noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves continually during working hours. Is subject to lifting over 50 pounds. Must be able to lift raise or lower an object from one level to another (includes upward and pulling motion) of 50-75 lbs. and must be able to carry/transport an object/equipment weighing 50-75 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time 11-month position, and hours of work and days vary depending on athletic practice and competition schedule. Candidate must be available Sunday-Saturday.
Travel
This job requires travel with designated athletic team to competitions and events. A valid US Driver’s license with a safe driving record is required.
Required Education and Experience
1. Master’s degree in athletic training or related field
2. BOC certification and OH licensure eligible (Ohio license must be granted prior to beginning work)
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Zero to six months of athletic training experience.
